Description
Bold yet elegant, fully-concentrated aroma of citrus fruit with layers of nectarine and cashew and biscuits, textured showing lifted aromatics and freshness. Full-bodied, with a firm and concentrated core of citrus with brioche, butter and stonefruits is melded with layers of citrus and mouth wateringly attractive acid. Full bodied and textured Chardonnay displaying citrus, ripe stone fruit mealy notes with cashew butter. Full with a tactile core and firm acidity giving length.

Vineyard
Single vineyard wine, 100% clone Mendoza. Planted in 2005, in the Gimblett Road sub Region. Pruned to 4 cane VSP. All the grapes used for this wine are grown on a sustainable viticulture approved site.
Vinification
The grapes were gently hand harvested and WBP, oxidatively and straight barrel to ferment for a high solids ferment with wild yeast. Fermentation was conducted warm to give the wild yeast free reign on fruit flavours and texture ferment lasted approximately 3 weeks. Just prior to completing fermentation, the wine was racked off primary solids, but put back to barrel for extended maturation. The wine underwent a wild Malo-Lactic fermentation in barrel, bi-weekly batonage, lees stirring occurred for the 14month length of maturation in Barrel. This wine has received no filtration or fining, a fine deposit may occur with extended cellaring.

100% barrel fermented, in new and seasoned French 228 Litre barriques. 55% New Oak.
