Chasing Harvest Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2023

Our Chasing Harvest New Zealand journey had begun in Marlborough many years ago and although fate would have us in Central Otago an opportunity to work with a good friend and source from a couple great vineyards was an inspiration for our inaugural Sauvignon Blanc.

This partial neutral barrel fermented wine has complex tropical fruit, citrus, snow pea, mineral and saline notes with a rich texture, crisp acidity and a long dry finish.

Although very small production intentionally sourced from two great vineyards to make a multi-dimensional Sauvignon Blanc wine.

Inspired with one foot in the old world and one foot in the new world, 1/3 was fermented dry in neutral french oak barrels for texture while 2/3 fermented in tank to preserve the aromatics to create a dry style that is both textural and shows typicity for the region.

Aged sur lie in both neutral barrel and stainless steel tank.
