Kono, home of Tohu Wines, is the World's first Maori-owned wine company. We are a unique business made up of over 250 families, our owners. We are 'Kaitiaki' (guardians) of our land, sea, sky and our people and are guided by traditional Maori values as relevant today as they were in the past. Since 1998 we have produced internationally award winning wines under our Kono and Tohu brands. Our wines represent us and our duty to preserve and enhance our environment for future generations.
