Nockie's Palette Georgetown Rosé 2021

Colour: Bright, moderate blush pink, even colour throughout Nose: gently full, filled with aromas of cherry, strawberry, spice and rose petals Palate: Medium-full bodied, dry to taste, aromas of cherry and strawberry melded with citrus and zesty spice, lingering rose petals to a dry finish Food match: cured salmon

The grapes are from Georgetown Vineyard at Central Otago, New Zealand.

The wine was whole bunch pressed and the resulting juice was inoculated with selected wine yeast.

Half of the grapes were whole bunch pressed and half were destemmed and soaked to extract colour and texture. The juice was inoculated with selected wine yeasts then half of the juice was barrel fermented in neutral barrels and half was fermented in tank. The fermentation was stopped retaining 5 g/l of residual sugar.
