Stonyridge Larose 2019

Rich, pure cassis with licorice and toasted-spice notes. Complex and layered with an intense, grippy structure that finishes with an incredible elegance and length. 2019 is a benchmark vintage for Waiheke Island and particularly for Stonyridge. It was a near-perfect season; good flowering in spring followed by a warm, dry, settled summer. A slightly earlier harvest, starting with Malbec at the end of March and closing with Petit Verdot in the second week of April. All fruit came into the winery in exceptional condition at perfect physiological and polyphenolic ripeness.
