Caythorpe Family Estate

Estate grown exclusively on “Caythorpe” upon light silt loam, alluvial gravel soils. The 2021 growing season was characterised by an early bud burst, dry summer and settled autumn period with cool nights, ideal for flavour concentration.

Two small batches were carefully isolated in the vineyard based on fruit maturity and concentration. Harvested 19th & 20th March in the cool evening to preserve flavours, immediately gentle pressed to limit skin contact; 100% fermented in chilled stainless steel to highlight aromatic characteristics; 12 weeks on yeast lees to develop texture.
