Beautiful, dark Pinot colour, nice density but still positively transparent. The nose opens with dark red fruit aromas, lifted by some primary, floral sweetness, combined with forest floor underbrush notes and a subtle hint of tar, typical for this terroir. The palate greats you with immediate generosity and ripeness, yet the flavours are quite direct at this point, showing powerful dark fruit concentration with an earthy minerality, some spice, firm structure and abundant tannin support.
