Vineyard
The grapes for this wine came from the Awatere Valley, Marlborough and were machine harvested in the early hours to minimise heat damage.
Vinification
On delivery to the winery the grapes were immediately destemmed and juice cooled. Prior to fermentation the juice was left in contact with the skins for 3 hours before pressing. Fermentation ran at 12-13 degrees in tank and the wine was bottled early without malo-lactic fermentation.
