Mangatahi Terraces, intermediate river terrace, coarse, sandy loam with red metal overlays. Low in fertility.
Vinification
The organic grapes were gently destemmed & hand-plunged once a day during fermentation with indigenous vineyard yeasts. Macerated 20 days on skins before pressing into stainless a steel tank. No additions were done at any stage, including SO2. Unfiltered, unfined.
