Description
Sourced exclusively from our oldest Home Block vineyard, this Pinot Gris exhibits the concentration and complexity associated with well established vines. Baked spiced pears and subtle white floral aromatics on the nose, combine with a palate that is weighty and textural with notes of candied lime and stone fruit. Off-dry, the palate is perfectly balanced with natural residual sweetness and fine mineral acidity.

Vinification
Harvested in the cool hours of the morning they were gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel vats. A small parcel was fermented and aged in older French oak to add texture and palate weight. After blending the wine was left to settle before bottling on the Wairau River Estate.
