Description

This wine is a fresh, pale lemon colour in the glass, and the aromas are unmistakably Marlborough. Citrus, passion fruit and fresh cut grass, carry through to the palate with hints of capsicum. The wine is light in body, but the flavour intensity follows through to a deliciously bright and fruity finish.

Vineyard

This wine comes from Marlborough, the most renowned wine region of New Zealand. Situated in the top North point of the South Island of New Zealand, its main grape variety is the zesty and exuberant Sauvignon Blanc.

Vinification

We harvested the fruit for this wine from selected blocks that were pruned to encourage early flavour ripeness, at lower sugar levels. The fruit was swiftly bag pressed and the clarified juice fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks with minimum oxygen exposure. Selected aromatic yeasts were used and the tanks chilled precisely to halt the ferment with the ideal level of natural grape sugars remaining. No oak was used in the winemaking, as pure fruit expression was the goal, and the wine was blended to maintain varietal characters.
