Description
Strategically situated vineyards were chosen for this 100% Pinot Noir Rose from the Wairau Valley. Refreshing in style with perfumed aromas of wild strawberries and fresh raspberries. Summer in a glass, our Rose is fresh watermelon pink in colour and a dry, refreshing style. The palate has great length like those hot summer days with enticing aromas of wild strawberries and cream, balanced against bright acidity. Match with Summer platters of hummus, olives, crackers and cheese or Salad Nicoise.

Wither Hills winery lies in the shadow of the majestic Wither Hills, part of Marlborough’s southern landmark range. Our vineyards are strategically sited throughout the Wairau Valley sub region of Marlborough, producing exceptional Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir – varietals that are synonymous with this verdant terrain. Our state-of-the-art winery incorporates both innovation and tradition in our winemaking such as our traditional basket press for Noir. We’re committed to sustainability through our Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand certification, local conservation initiatives, and organic farming practices. Our hands-on approach and meticulous attention to detail ensures that our wines are crafted beautifully, just like the setting around us, and reflects our Tūrangawaewae (Māori for “place where we stand”).
Vinification
The fruit was harvested at optimum ripeness for a fresh vibrant style of Rosé. The berries were gently pressed, cold settled, racked and cool fermented with selected yeast strains to enhance the unique aromatics and flavours.
