Vineyard
Grapes from selected rows of the E Block and Black Knight vineyards. Marlborough has a cool climate, but is the sunniest region in New Zealand.
Vinification
and then gently pressed. The juice was fermented at cool temperatures to retain the intensity of the Sauvignon Blanc aromatics. 10% of the blend was fermented in older French oak barrels. After 7 months on fine lees, the components were blended prior to bottling. Intensity of fruit flavours from a warm vintage should see this wine cellar for 3-5 years from harvest date.
