Little Beauty Limited Edition Gewurztraminer 2013

Colour: Pale rim surrounds a straw coloured core with a pinky hue. Aroma: A totally delightful wine that is highly fragrant. Hints of fleshy lychee, rose petals and Turkish delight – exotic. Some bottle development showing – toffee apple. Honey comb. Palate: Palate is rich and luscious. Spicy. Flavours are of stone fruit, orange zest. Wine has some sweetness adding palate weight but has good acidity – balanced with a long, lingering finish.

Terroir: Soil: free draining, stony silt loam, fine sandy topsoil over alluvial gravels. Canopy Management Regime: Vertical Shoot Positioning, North-South Facing rows. Four cane pruning regime. Harvest Method: Hand harvested. Harvest Month: April.

Fermentation: Fruit was 100% de-stemmed and crushed into a tank press and pressed out on a slow gentle press cycle. Cool fermentation to preserve and accentuate the delicate aromas and flavours.
