Villa Maria Private Bin Riesling 2023

Bright lifted aromas reminiscent of spring, white florals, fresh lemon and limes jump out of the glass. The palate is light and crisp showing juicy mandarin and lime flavours with a hint of slatey minerality on the finish. This Private Bin Riesling is an off-dry style displaying excellent fruit sweetness balanced with zesty sherbet-like acidity on the finish.

Our Riesling vineyards are from diverse areas within Marlborough, from the upper Waihopai Valley clays soils, to the river terraces in mid-Wairau valley as well as river terraces in the cooler Awatere Valley.

Cool ferment in stainless steel to preserve the fresh fruit characters and zippy acidity.

This wine can be enjoyed whilst youthful or with several years of bottle aging to develop softer honeyed notes.
