Akitu

In the heart of Central Otago’s Upper Clutha basin, just minutes from Lake Wanaka, our 12-hectare vineyard sits alone at 380 metres above sea level on a stunning north facing slope. Here we are obsessively dedicated to the production of exceptional Pinot noir, in fact it’s all we grow. We planted our vines in 2002; we launched our wine - akitu (which in Maori means the apex, summit or highest point) in 2012. This is alpine wine – marginal, edgy, fresh, glistening. Fine pinot from a remarkable and unique place, Central Otago at its very best.
