Lime Rock Wines

Small producers of ultra premium Pinot Noir and other varieties grown on steep limestone hills in Central Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. The vineyard is managed based on ecological processes (Rodger has a Masters In Ecology) and is also certified sustainable under the Sustainable Wine New Zealand scheme (SWNZ). A single vineyard, but with many aspects that provide diversity and complexity in the resulting wines. Biodiversity in the vineyard creates a range of habitats that favour beneficial insects that help to control some pest species.
