Johanneshof Cellars

Johanneshof Cellars is a Boutique Winery established in 1991 by two winemakers from Germany and New Zealand. Wines, Methode Traditionnelles and spirits are crafted on site, from hand-harvested Marlborough fruit. Coal Miners created New Zealand’s first Underground Rock Cellar in 1993 where wines mature at a constant temperature of 12 degrees Celsius, and the bottle-fermented Methode Traditionnelles rest on lees for up to nine years. Johanneshof has been much awarded over the 30 years including ’Best Aromatic White Wine of the World” in ‘Decanter World Wine Awards 2005’ in London.
